Partnership and Biodiversity
We look to balance careful natural resource use with long term benefits for biodiversity, recognising that wildlife and wild habitats are also good for business.
Our approach is to seek longer term engagements with our partners, from project planning through to closure, in order to achieve positive outcomes at all stages of project development.
Wychwood works with:
- major mining companies including BHP Billiton and Newmont to support the management of biodiversity on their mineral concessions;
- Fauna and Flora International, providing strategic guidance to oil and gas companies on landscape and seascape management, including development of Good Practice Guidance for Marine Oil and Gas
- leading solar developers to implement the highest biodiversity standards within large-scale solar farms; and
- Conservation charities including Marwell Wildlife and Grevy’s Zebra Trust to support their landscape level conservation programmes in East Africa. This includes research into the endangered Grevy’s zebra.
